Listening To Frustrations

While growing the customer base of the Service Tracker application, it became clear that a large number of customers hated their rostering application. the feedback was always the same... "Too big", Too complex", "I don't know I get my assistant to handle that", but most of all... "It doesn't integrate well".

Over the course of a few years we heard it all over and over again and decided it was time to do something about it!

A Simple & Integrated Solution

Through talking to customers about their deepest dreams and desires for a simple rostering application we identified the biggest pain points of their current systems and worked on creating a super simple, clean and elegant application that would also be super easy to use.

One of the biggest issues was having to enter employee names manually (sure, there is a CSV upload, but anyone who's done that before know's the "joy" that can bring). However as we already had their employee details in the Service Tracker application it was pretty straight forward to connect the two and create a seamless link with all employee details automatically shared between the two applications. This alone eliminated countless hours of manual work preparing export files and entering data.

Focus was also invested in making the user experience as clean and simple as possible, even creating it in black and white to eliminate any unesissary chrome from the interface and put the contact first.

Saved For A Rainy Day

Whilst this project unfortunately has not made it into production as of yet, the completed UX prototypes for both web and mobile applications proved a hit with customers during initial demonstrations and collaboration sessions, showing it was easy to use and navigate by users who had no previous experience with the application.
